This is a picture of New Brighton Pier - Christchurch’s most photographed landmark and Australasia’s biggest ocean pier - on a clear summer day. It features a seagull heading over to join his pals at the end of the pier.

We use expressive brush strokes for the sea and sky, contrasted with a carefully painted pier and seagull.
